The topic for this essay was spawned from my thesis project and it presents a new chapter of the building regulation that focusses on houses being designed with the development of technology in mind particularly the development of Augmented Reality. Its predicted that by 2035 AR wearables will be as popular as the smart phone is today and this opens the door to 3D designers to incorporate augmented reality into our daily experience. This became even more relevant in the wake of the Covid-19 Virus pandemic as we were all forced to live more virtual lives.
